Currently, the Contemporary Myanmar Traditional Artists Association is seeking to capture a share of the international market for Myanmar traditional style paintings and drawings, as well as organizing artists who consistently draw in Myanmar traditional style to help bring out the new generation of artists, according to the association’s chairperson, Pachi Ko Shan Lay.
To expand the association’s network, the organization is collecting artists who consistently draw Myanmar traditional styles throughout the country. Since last two decades, the association has been established as the Myanmar Traditional Artists Association and it is organized with well-known veteran artists. The artists who draw and paint with Myanmar traditional styles are rare in the current art industry. However, It is widely known among foreign audiences that Myanmar’s traditional drawing and painting styles.
