U Khoung Shai, the Chairperson of Naga nationality literature and culture association, stated that the Naga nationality traditional dance course aims to hand over dancing techniques to the new generations at Naga field in Htanpakhwe of Lahe in Naga Self-Administered Zone.
Naga ethnic men, women and youths attended the opening ceremony of the dance course. Chieftain of Htanpakhwe U Haw Hmo and Chairperson of the association U Khoung Shai gave opening speeches.
U Khoung Shai said, “We aim for the new generation to be able to adore and preserve the Naga traditions and traditional dances.”
A group of 30 Naga youths were trained in the choreography of traditional songs by dance troupes of the Naga nationality.
