Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Andrey Rudenko discussed a cooperation plan for hydroelectric power and solar power generation in Myanmar.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Andrey Rudenko at the Credentials Hall of the SAC Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw on 20 February afternoon.
In their meeting, both sides cordially discussed the long and strong diplomatic relations between Myanmar and Russia, and the further improved friendship and cooperation, the two countries’ leaders and high-ranking officials visiting each other on friendly trips, the running of flights between the two countries to improve bilateral tourism and trade activities.
Moreover, they discussed cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear technology, cooperation in the development of the social and education sectors, cooperation plans for obtaining sufficient fertilizers for Myanmar and hydroelectric power and solar power generation, and further developing friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Also, present together with the Senior General were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister U Lwin Oo and officials. The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister was accompanied by the Russian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Iskander Azizov and officials.
