It is expected that many parts of Japan will continue to experience unseasonably warm weather on Tuesday. Officials said there are risks of flooding in low-lying areas due to snowmelt and avalanches.
The Meteorological Agency said temperatures rose across the country on Monday as warm air flowed in from the south. It is expected that temperatures will rise even more in some places on Tuesday, especially on the Pacific side of western and eastern Japan. The daytime high is forecast to reach 22 degrees in central Tokyo and 24 degrees in Shizuoka City.
