Today The Ministry of Commerce announced that spreading of the fasle news that 65 percent of the export earnings will be exchanged at a fixed price is the aim of reducing the price of agricultural products, w hile the export activities are being accelerated for traders and exporters to proceed as usual.
As the state is concerned with ensuring that exporters are profitable, the Central Bank of Myanmar has issued a notice No. 26/2023 on December 5, 2023 regarding the right to use export earnings from exports. In the notification, “Instead of 50% of the export revenue, only 35% is to be exchanged for Myanmar Kyat according to the instructions of the Central Bank of Myanmar’s Notification No. (12/2022).”
