The half-price used laptops are more attractive to many buyers and tend to sell well, according to second-hand laptop dealers.
Nowadays, most people are buying more used laptops than new ones. Some used laptops are as good as new ones. The price difference is one reason to prefer them. Second-hand laptop users are increasing in the market, said a laptop dealer in Yangon.
In most cases, second-hand laptops are sold back by training institutions, companies, home and office users, and the used price depends on the model.
“Although laptops and accessories are sold in Myanmar kyats, their value is fixed in dollars, so the actual price in kyats has to be recalculated based on the prevailing exchange rate in the external market at the time of sale,” some computer shops said.
