Myanmar Police Force reported on 2 September a seizure of more than 430,000 stimulate tablets worth over Ks-650 million in Mayangone Township in Yangon Region, and Myawady city in Kayin State.
After being tipped-off, a combined team consisting of members of Anti-Drug police Force searched a TOYOTA Hilux Surf car driven by Maung Maung Shwe(a)Maung Shwe on U Yekhe street in (2) Ward of Mayangone Township in Yangon Region at 9 pm on 28 September and seized 70,000 stimulate tablets. Moreover, as the combined team found again 140,000 stimulate tablets and Ks-2 million from his two rented apartments in Aungmyitta street in (2) Ward and (8) street in (1) Ward of Mayangone Township, a total of 210,000 stimulate tablets worth Ks-210 million was seized.
Similarly, the combined team searched a motorcycle ridden by Aung Kyaw Zin Thet on Annada Thukha road in (4) Ward of Myawady at 12.30 pm on 29 September, and seized 5,850 stimulates tablets and one .32 pistol. In addition, as the team found 214,500 stimulate tablets and one TOYOTA Landcruiser Parado car from his house in Aung Dipa street in (4) Ward of Myawady, a total of more than 220,000 stimulate tablets worth over Ks-440 million was seized. The action was taken against the arrestees under the law and investigation is being made to arrest those who involved in the case, according to the Anti-Drug Police Force.
