Purchasing plane tickets requires the approval of the ward/village administrators. According to U Aung Ye Tun, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the announcement was made by local authorities to ensure travelers’ safety. According to the statement of the relevant local authorities, passengers who are not approved by the relevant administrative offices will not be allowed to board the plane when purchasing plane tickets, and currently only those who will be flying from Kyauk Phyu Airport and Myeik Airport need the approval of the local village administrators.
According to the current statement, if the public (non-employee) buys a plane ticket to travel by plane, it should be sold only with the endorsement of the relevant ward/village group administrator, and when purchasing an E-Ticket, the endorsement should also be brought to the airport.
