U Kyaw Lwin (his father) U Ali, the owner of the Son Island (Thahtay Kyun) Hotel, who was included in the search list when the online gambling business was identified in Thailand, the State Administrative Council (SAC) announced today that an arrest warrant has been issued for money laundering and online gambling.
U Kyaw Lwin, who was born in Burma, is also a naturalized Thai citizen. He is also the chairman of the Grand Andaman Hotel Group in Myanmar’s Son island (Thahtay Kyun) under the name of Sanga Kangval, and his Than Phyo Thu company is also a well-known company.
On February 1, DSI raided the locations of the GOFUG network and arrested 7 of the 18 businessmen who had warrants for their arrest. 55 million baht, 350 kg of gold, 8 land ownership and condominium ownership contracts, 8 cruise cars, 97 accessories, 47 expensive watches, 10 guns, and expensive designer bags, and more than 400 high-value items such as shoes and clothes were confiscated.
