Belarusian President H.E. Mr. Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko said that Belarus considers the dialogue with Myanmar as an important direction of its foreign policy in Southeast Asia. The country is interested not only in expanding the range of exports of domestic products to the Myanmar market, but also in strengthening bilateral cooperation ties in the fields of agriculture, science, industry and education.
This comment came during His Excellency U Lwin Oo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Republic of Belarus, presented his credentials to His Excellency Mr. Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, in the Credentials ceremony for Foreign Ambassadors accredited to Belarus held at the Palace of Independence in Minsk, the Capital of the Republic of Belarus on 30 September 2022.
Foreign Ambassadors from eleven countries accredited to the Republic of Belarus including the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Argentina, the Republic of Benin, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federative Republic of Brazil, Republic of Cuba, the Sovereign Military Order of the Hospitallers of St. I. Jerusalem, Rhodes and Malta, Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Palestine, Republic of the Sudan and the Swiss Confederation participated in the ceremony.
Myanmar is underway the signing of Memorandum of Cooperation on Economic Cooperation Development Strategy including investment and trade with Russia and Belarus, aiming at developing the investment and trade between the country and Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
