According to Myanmar Railways, on February 4th, one of the first batch of 6 coach trains purchased from Spain to operate on the Yangon Circular Railway arrived at ThilaWa Port. The coaches are modern DEMU diesel electric coaches from Spain-based train manufacturing company Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF). The Ministry of Transport and Communications has commissioned the new coaches. It was purchased from Spain for use in Myanmar Railways and an upgrade project for Yangon circular Railway.
