Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said that if all issues were solved by political means without terror attacks, the State of Emergency period would not be extended like this. Senior General delivered an address at the SAC meeting 1/2024 at the SAC Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
In his speech, the Senior General recounted that a further six-month term of the State of Emergency was extended at the National Defence and Security Council meeting 1/2024 under Section 425 of the Constitution, adding that upon completion of the State responsibilities, Tatmadaw will hand over the duties to the National Defence and Security Council for convening the election.
