During the nine months of 2023, the Bagan Archaeological Museum earned over 38 million kyats

An entrance fee of 38.526 million kyats was collected at the Bagan Archaeological Museum in Nyaung U Township, Mandalay Region, from a total of 8,483 home-grown and overseas travellers who visited the museum from April to December of the 2023–2024 financial year, according to officials from the Department of Archaeology and Museum Department (Bagan Branch).

For nine months, a total of 8,483 visitors—123 foreigners and 8,360 locals—visited the Bagan Archaeological Museum. The Bagan Archaeological Museum had been closed to control the spread of COVID-19 since 15 March 2020, and it was reopened on 28 October 2021. The museum is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm, except Mondays and public holidays.
