KNPP and PDF terrorists fired at a commercial plane with civilian passengers of MNA and a passenger was shot on the right cheek as bullet pierced through the left side of the fuselage, according to a statement released by SAC on 30 September.
While a Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw-Loikaw passenger plane of MNA was approaching Loikaw airport at about 8.45 am today to land there in accordance with the procedures, KNPP and PDF terrorists brutally and heartlessly fired at it with weapon (still under investigation). The bullet pierced through the left side of the fuselage and hit the right cheek of a passenger. The ATR-72 (600) plane with registered number XY-AML was carrying 63 passengers during its UB–149 flight.
The injured passenger was rushed to Loikaw People’s Hospital. The security forces are carrying out operations to secure the area where the incident took place.
A pilot who knew the incident said: “It is shot from on the north side of the runway while landing. A man is injured and is receiving medical treatment at the Loikaw People’s Hospital.”
