Manchester City has confirmed the signing of Argentine teenage (18 years)midfielder Claudio Echeverri from River Plate until June 2028. Claudio Echeverri, who captained Argentina at last year’s under-17 World Cup in Indonesia, was to have in a deal worth an initial £ 12.5 million plus add-ons.
Echeverri has already made six senior appearances for the Buenos Aires club, which is coached by former City defender Martin Demichelis.
