30 buses will be operated during the Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda Festival

The Minbu (Sku) Township of Magway Region will hold the Mann Shwe Set Taw Pagoda Ceremony for 64 days from February 14, 2024, so the Minbu-Shwe Set Taw mini bus line will operate in February to facilitate the transportation of pilgrims, according to the Minbu District Private bus Lines Supervisory Committee.

To facilitate transportation during the Mann Shwe Set Taw Pagoda Ceremony, the Min Bu City Aung Man mini bus Line will operate the Min Bu-Shwe Set Taw mini bus Line from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day starting February 14. The mini bus line will also run a route up the mountain and down the mountain at Mann Shwe Set Taw Pagoda.

“In terms of bus service, the Aung Mann bus Service Line will operate 10 buses for the Minbu-Shwe Set Taw route, and 20 buses for the up-and-down route, for a total of 30 buses. If the number of buses is not sufficient, additional filling will be done. “The fare rate is set based on the price of fuel,” said U Yarzar Koko, chairman of the District’s Private Commercial Bus Lines Supervisory Committee.

During the Mann Shwe Set Taw Pagoda Ceremony, the bus fares are set as last year at 6,000 kyats for the Minbu-Shwe Set Taw trip, 6,000 kyats for the return trip, 1,000 kyats for the up-down route respectively. During the ceremony, bus fares may change depending on the price of fuel.
