The Ministry of Transport and Communications, Myanmar Railways, is running the Taunggyi-Pawmu-Taunggyi (round trip) train trip every week on Sundays so that tourists can enjoy the sightseeing of the breathtaking scenes of Taunggyi city.
The railway between Taunggyi and Pawmu is 11.41 miles apart and it takes one hour and 30 minutes. On the way, stop for 30 minutes at Htethain Station and 30 minutes on arrival at Paw Mu Station to enjoy the natural scenes around the Bawathanthaya Roundabout.
The train will run one upper-class carriage, four ordinary-class carriages, and one guard coach with a 2,000-horsepower locomotive.
For the Taunggyi-Pawmu round trip, the upper-class ticket is K10,000 per person and the ordinary-class ticket is 5,000 kyats per person.
The Taunggyi-Pawmu round trip will be operated at the above-fixed rate on weekly Sunday office holidays. If service companies like tour companies, travel agencies, private schools, etc. want to rent a train (the entire train), they will also arrange and process it.
