On January 16, SAC’s imformation team announced that KNPP and PDF shot and destroyed the historical Myo Nam Shwe Pagoda in Loikaw with heavy weapons.
The report that the historical Myo Nam Shwe Pagoda in Loikaw town, which is a sacred place of the local Buddhists, was fired far from away with heavy weapons by The KNPP and PDF in Kayah State,and the bullets hit and exploded inside the Pagoda premises, and causing some damage to the body of the pagoda and other religious buildings.
