Real Madrid are Spanish Super Cup champions after a 4-1 demolition of bitter rivals Barcelona in Saudi Arabia on Sunday. Real Madrid avenged their previous loss in the Super Cup final 12 months ago.
Real dominated every aspect of the game and ended the contest with 10 men after defender Ronald Araujo was sent off for a second booking in the 71st minute.
VinÃcius forward scored twice in the first ten minutes to put Madrid on top in Riyadh, before Robert Lewandowski responded for Barca. VinÃcius added a third from the penalty spot before half-time, and Rodrygo Goes’ fourth secured the win.
