Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held talks with Commander-in-Chief of Royal Thai Armed Forces General Songwit Noonpackdee in the form of video conferencing this evening.
Also present together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo of Office of Commander-in-Chief and officials. The Commander-in-Chief of Royal Thai Armed Forces was accompanied by Air Chief Marshal Chakorn Tawanjang of Royal Thai Armed Forces and officials.
At the meeting views on promotion of bilateral relations between the two countries and armed forces, country-to-country political cooperation and military-to-military security cooperation for safety and facilitation of border trade, anti-drug and anti-terrorism operations, anti-illegal trade activities, information sharing, peace and stability of border areas, bilateral cooperation in combating online gambling and telecom frauds, especially the ones that were exposed near Myawady town at the common border, conducting ministry-to-ministry cooperation between the two countries in providing humanitarian assistance, apart from the ongoing military-to-military cooperation, collective prevention of forest fires and cross-border haze and air pollution at Myanmar-Lao-Thai border, continuation of cooperation between the governments and armed forces of the two countries in wide array of sectors were cordially exchanged.
