Yangon General Hospital’s advanced seven-story construction work began on May 27, 2018, and is currently undergoing finishing work and will be completed soon.
The new Yangon Public Hospital will be a 400-bed hospital and upon completion, it will be able to provide healthcare services to the people not only in the Yangon Region but also in all areas at a low cost.
The new 7-storey building in Yangon General Hospital has dormitories with six X-ray rooms and two computerized X-ray rooms, dormitories with laboratories, dormitories for the sick, dormitories for hematology clinics, dormitories for bone marrow transplant clinics, Men’s and women’s dormitories, dormitories for private patient rooms, doctor-on-duty dormitories, nurses’ lounges, and other general care wards.
On the morning of January 8th, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, together with officials, visited Yangon General Hospital on Sunday and inspected the construction of the 7-storey building in Lanmadaw Township, It is reported.
