Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India, The Department of Commerce has granted the right to free importation of black grams, pigeon peas as a restricted commodity in 2022. On 2024 December 28, It was extended with the notification No. (52/2015-2020) until March 31.
Now, Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India, Department of Commerce has further extended the right to freely import black grams, pigeon peas until 31-3-2025 by notification No. (54/2023) dated 28-12-2023.
This announcement will not only benefit Myanmar bean farmers and bean exporters, but also strengthen the bean market.
