Instead of Union Ministry of Home Affairs and Adviser Lt. Gen Yar Pyae on national security matters,Myanmar’s Navy Chief, Admiral Moe Aung, received the appointment as the Union Minister as a national security advisor to the Chairman of the State Administration Council through Order 3/2024 issued on January 8, 2024, by the SAC.Vice-Admiral Zwe Win Myint, who previously served as the Chief of Staff (Navy), has been promoted to the position of Navy Chief, according to information from a source closely associated with the military.
