Nadal, Spanish tennis player, will miss this month’s Australian Open 2024 after tearing a small muscle during his comeback from a long injury layoff at the Brisbane. The 22-time Grand Slam champion, who won the title at Melbourne Park in 2022, announced his withdrawal in a social media post on Sunday.
Nadal, who competed in this year’s Brisbane tournament for the first time after being out of action for nearly 1 year due to injury, lost in the quarterfinals and suffered a muscle injury. This year’s Australian Open will be held in Melbourne from January 14 to 28.
