The Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) Disciplinary Committee announced that four over-age players were banned from playing in the FIFA-MFF U-17 league, and the first match wining results of the teams that used over-age players were also canceled.

The Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) organized an age verification team to check whether the players are of correct age after news broke on social media that some of the participating teams in the FIFA-MFF U-17 League, which is being held on December 29, are over-age players. After conducting tests by the age verification team, the suspected players were sent to the disciplinary committee for action.

Each player from the Shwe Pyi Thar team, Phar Si Land team, The Burmese Youth team and the Arthavati team, who are over-age players has been disqualified from the tournament.

Moreover, the MFF Disciplinary Committee has asked the administrator/coach members to take strict action to prevent the same thing from happening in future competitions. In the FIFA-MFF U-17 League, it was found that the registration documents of the participating players were not properly maintained, and a strong warning has been issued to prevent a similar incident from happening again.
