A ceremony to enshrine religious objects into the upper reliquary and hoist a golden umbrella atop Myodaw Hteikpan Mingala Pagoda took place in conjunction with the consecration in the precinct of Pali Tekkatho Mingala Zeyon Monastery in Pyinmana of Nay Pyi Taw this morning, attended by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
The Senior General, wife and congregation took the Nine Precepts from Pali Sayadaw. Disciples offered Paritta flowers, water, thread and sand to members of the Sangha who recited Parittas. Those disciples scattered Paritta flowers, water, thread and sand on the platform of the pagoda.
The Senior General and wife offered flowers, water, oil lights and golden lotus flowers to the Buddha image at the southern part of the pagoda.
