The government has effectively accelerated the tasks of eliminating the drug trafficking that harms the entire new generation of mankind as a national duty. At the same time, inspections were enhanced along the routes of drug-trafficking in cooperating with neighboring countries but it is found that transnational gang are taking the advantages of the seaway.
According to the information on 31 October that transnational drug gangs will send the drugs to Malaysia through maritime route, Myanmar Navy searched them at about 157 nautical miles south west of Kawthoung, and arrested seven suspects from a motorboat heading to Malaysia together with 2600 Kilograms of ICE worth about Ks-104 billion in the packages with the word GUANYINWANG.
According to the confessions of arrestees, it is reportedly exposed that suspect Nyi Nyi, who is at large,has sent the drugs through seaway linking with drug gangs in Malaysia and they will hand over the drugs to Malaysian buyer who Nyi Nyi will join if they arrive into the water territory of Malaysia.
So, effective action will be taken against the arrestees under the law and measures is being taken to arrest related suspects including Nyi Nyi.
Those who have received information about drug trafficking can report secretly to authorities and those who cooperate in the arrest of the suspects will be awarded worthy secret cash rewards, it was announced.
