A Chinese delegation led by Member of the State’s Council of the People’s Republic of China and the Minster for Public Security H.E. Mr. Wang Xiaohong, accompanied by deputy minister-level officials, directors-general and high-level officers, arrived in Nay Pyi Taw on 30 October.
On arrival in Myanmar, Myanmar delegation led by SAC member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and the delegation led by Member of the State’s Council of the People’s Republic of China and the Minster for Public Security H.E. Mr. Wang Xiaohong held an informal discussion at Presidential Suite Hall of Horizon Lake View Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw from 4 pm to 5 pm.
Afterwards, the 7th Ministerial Level Meeting on Law Enforcement and Security Cooperation between the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China was held at State Meeting Room of Horizon Lake View Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw from 5 pm to 6 pm.
Present at the meeting were deputy minister and Chief of the Myanmar Police Force Lt-Gen Ni Lin Aung, Lt-Gen Toe Yi, deputy minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo, deputy minister for Immigration and Population U Htay Hlaing and high level senior military officers led by Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, high level officers led by Mr.Wang Xiaohong, totaling 42.
At the meeting, they cordially discussed enhancement of stability, law enforcement and security cooperation for the border region between two countries, implementation five-year project (2023-2027) on Lancang-Mekong Cooperation, joint eradication on human trafficking, online scam, cyber crime, money laundering, cross-border gambling and drug case, and bilateral cooperation between two countries.
After the meeting, ministers from both sides signed the meeting record and posed for taking documentary photos. Then, the meeting came to an end.
The honorary dinner and entertainment of the 7th Ministerial Level Meeting will be held from 7 pm to 8 pm on 30 October.
