Ceremonies to establish Vijayabhuminammarna land of victory and to inaugurate Saddadipati bell in front of the Maravijaya Buddha image in the precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Park in Dekkhina Thiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, where the world’s tallest sitting marble Buddha image has been built, this morning and Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, the leading donor of the Buddha image, attended the ceremonies.
Also present at the ceremonies together with the Senior General were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General, Vice Chairman of the SAC Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, the secretary of the SAC and wife, the joint secretary of the SAC and wife, members of the SAC and their wives, the Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) and wife, union ministers and their wives, the chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council and wife, senior officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and their wives and the commander of the Nay Pyi Taw command and officials.
First, the ceremonies commenced with three-time recitation of Namo Tassa and the congregation led by the leading donor Senior General and wife recited Ratanattya Puja Gatha and Subbhasinghahaka merting-sharing verses three times.
Then, the leading donor Senior General sprinkled gems at the land of victory and the master of ceremonies read out Pathavijaya Mantangatha and the auspicious chronicle. At the auspicious time, the leading donor Senior General enshrined soil conveyed from lands of victory at seven holy places in Bodh Gaya in Majjhima Desa and at 35 famous pagodas across the country at the Vijayabhuminammarna land of victory.
Afterward, the leading donor Senior General sprinkled Paritta scented water at the land of victory.
Then, the congregation recited successful Gatha beginning with Jayanto Bodhiya Mule and shared merits while the master of ceremonies read out an auspicious merit-sharing chronicle.
Afterward, the ceremony to inaugurate the Saddadipati noble bell donated by the leading donor Senior General, wife, their son and daughter and grandchildren was held and the leading donor Senior General and wife inaugurated the noble bell by striking it nine times and sprinkling scented water on it.
Then, the Vice-Senior General and wife struck the bell and sprinkled fragranced water on it.
Afterward, the master of ceremonies read out an auspicious merit-sharing chronicle and the congregation shared merits. The ceremony concluded with a three-time recitation of Buddhasasanam Ciram Titthatu.
Then, the leading donor Senior General and wife sprinkled gold and silver showers to mark the success of the ceremony.
In establishing the the Vijayabhuminammarna land of victory in front of the Maravijaya Buddha image, soil conveyed from lands of victory at seven holy places in Bodh Gaya in Majjhimadesa and at 35 famous pagodas across the country was enshrine at the land of victory. With the aim of showing the world that Theraveda Buddhism is flourishing in Myanmar, making Myanmar the centre of Buddhism, promoting prosperity in Myanmar and promoting peace in the world, Saddadipati noble bell, which is five feet high, 4 feet 1 inch wide at the mouth and weighs 738 visses of bronze, was donated by the leading donor Senior General and wife, their son and daughter and grandchildren.
