Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) held the 15th meeting with Myanmar-based International Trade Associations on 20 July. They discussed current economic situations, difficulties and challenges.
At the meeting, chairman of UMFCCI U Aye Win said concerned ministries and organizations have cooperated to overcome the challenges to economic and trade affairs. The UMFCCI is a bridge between the government and private sector, and held educative talks related to ASEAN-BAC Road show, trademark property, online consumer protection and anti-corruption within six months.
Similarly, UMFCCI met with officials of respective departments in the early of July and discussed impacts of rules and regulations for foreign exchange on import/export sector, difficulties in connection with illegal trade, he said.
He acknowledged the cooperation of partners from international trade associations for the development of private sector and urged to continue their cooperation.
