The social media page without a blue mark posted on 15 September posted that Kanbawza Bank settled the salary remittances of Myanmar workers in other countries at Ks- 3,000 per US dollar.
It also quoted an official said to be from Hana Bank Myanmar who said that the Korea bank was a partner of the KBZ and the remittance can easily be withdrawn without any limitation of cash amounts and any document and explained how to remit cash to Myanmar.
According to the statistics of the Central Bank of Myanmar, Myanmar nationals in other countries sent back US$-6,152.044 million during the nine-year period from 2014 to July, 2022, Union Minister for Labour Dr Pwint Hsan said.
Moreover, the remittances sent by Myanmar nationals from Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and other countries hit over US$-264 million from January to July 2022, according to the Central Bank of Myanmar.
