More than US$-865 million was earned from the export of CMP garment to abroad from Myanmar in three months this FY, a decrease of over US$-61 million compared to the same period of previous year, according to the coordination meeting over increasing the export of Industrial products, textile, and clothing items.
So, measures will be made to cooperate for increasing the export in the remaining months.
Myanmar received only US$-865.195 million from the export of CMP garment from 1 April to 23 June of 2023-2024 financial year, a decrease of over US$-61 million compared to the same period of previous year, according to the trade data.
The entrepreneurs and concerned associations were urged to cooperate for the increasing the export of CMP garment in the remaining months of this FY.
The association has adopted a 10-year strategic plan for 2015-2025, and targets such as the number of factories, export value and employment were set and it met the target until the pre-COVID-19 period, according to the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association.
Secretary-General of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), Daw Khine Khine New, said: “Iin order to increase exports abroad, it is necessary to obtain a large number of garment orders, build trust with the workers, and improve working relations.”
