A joint team comprising of Drug Enforcement officers acted on a tip-off and conducted a search in Shwe Li street, 46 yard, Dagon (north) Township, on July 4, at about 1130 am, leading to the recovery of 30 kg of ICE (meth) from TOYOTA MARK II vehicle belonging to Aung Kyaw Tun (alias Aung Hein). Following his statement, the officers searched a residential area in the Dagon (North) township owned by Aung Kyaw Tun, where they discovered another 16 kg of ICE at around 1230 pm on the same day. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is 1.15 billion MMK, and the offender has been charged with Narcotic drugs and Psychoactive Substances Law. The investigation is ongoing to apprehend any related offenders.
