The construction of new seven-story building in Yangon General Hospital with Ks-23.897 billion budget allotments by the government will be completed in 2023-2024 financial year.
Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khine Win together with officials inspected the construction of 7-storey building in Yangon General Hospital on 2 July.
During the inspection, the union minister instructed to become best quality building as Yangon General Hospital has been relied by people of Myanmar.
The seven-story building which is under construction will include normal medical treatment wards as well as blood and blood cancer treatment ward, bone marrow transplant ward to receive treatments for blood and blood cancer patients.
The union minister urgd all concerned officials to construct teaching rooms to meet the quality as Yangon General Hospital is a teaching hospital, and to make systematic supervision for meeting the set standard so as to provide quality health care service to the people.
The Union Minister and party later viewed round the construction works and gave instructions for worksite safety, fire safety and quality control works.
