757,000 stimulant tablets and 3 kilos of ICE (methamphetamine) worth more than Ks-830 million were seized in Yangon Region on 16 June, according to Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team comprising with anti-drug police members searched two motorcycles driven by Htoo Khant Naung, Pyae Sone Kyaw Min and Hein Khin Zaw on the lower Mingaladon Road in Insein Township, Yangon Region at 7.30 pm and seized 467,000 stimulant tablets together with them.
Similarly, 290,000 stimulant tablets and three kilos of ICE (Methamphetamine) were seized at a house that Pyae Sone Kyaw Min rent in Yaw Min Gyi street in Shwe Pyi Thar Township. So, a total of 757,000 stimulant tablets and three kilos of ICE (Methamphetamine) worth over Ks- 830 million were seized.
According to the investigation of arrestees, they distribute and sell the drugs to the youths in KTV, clubs, bars and restaurants in Yangon.
The culprits are taken actions in accordance with the law and investigations are underway to expose those who involved in the incident.
