11 PDF members from Magway and Sagaing regions returned to the legal fold together with five rifles and one pistol on 14 June.
Their retrun was accepted at the Zeya Thiri Hall of North-West Command by the officials.
They returned to the fold and presented the arms to the Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, commander Maj-Gen Than Htike and officials.
The PDF members are from Pakkoku Township in Magway Region, Sagaing and Kalay townships in Sagaing Region.
First, the region chief minister and the commander spoke on sections of law, regional stability and peace, and educational talks.
Then, the region chief minister and the commander awarded Ks-5 million each for five PDF members who returned to the legal fold with rifles, Ks-2.5 million for one PDF member who presented pistol, and Ks-2 million each for other five members who entered the legal fold without arms. They also presented the PDF members assistance items respectively and handed over to their parents. On behalf of those who returned to the legal fold, one PDF member spoke words of thank.
The State Administration Council has announced that any members who joined any armed groups including PDF will be warmly accepted if they returned to legal fold. The government opens reception centres in border areas and those who would like to return to the legal fold can contact to the nearest Tatmadaw bases and police stations.
