Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Laos H.E. Thongphane SAVANPHET said on preparations and implementation of Laos’ ASEAN Chairmanship in 2024, it is reported.
ASEAN Consultative Meeting (ACM) organized by Vietnam Embassy in Laos was convened at Muong Thanh Hotel on 12 June.
At the meeting, charge d’affaires of Myanmar Embassy to Laos Daw Nan Phyu Sin Than Myint is attended together with ambassadors from ASEAN embassies in Vientiane, Laos, and charge d’affaires.
The deputy minister discussed mutual trips of high-level representatives who visited to Laos and ASEAN countries, situations on socio-economic of Laos and future matters.
Afterward, charge d’affaires of Indonesia discussed situations on ASEAN meetings being held under the ASEAN chairmanship of Indonesia. Vietnam Ambassador discussed matters on bilateral relations between Vietnam and Laos.
Representatives of ASEAN embassies exchanged views on respective bilateral cooperation with Laos, and expressed their welcome for the ASEAN Chairmanship of Laos in 2024.
