A joint team comprising of Drug Enforcement officers acted on a tip-off and conducted a search in Insein Township, on June 6, at about 10 am, leading to the recovery of 0.15 million tablets of ATS from a picnic ice box belonging to Nyein Chan. Aung (alias Tue Tue). Following his statement, the officers searched a farm in the Hmaw Bi township owned by Sai Zaw Min Oo’s (alias Ko Sai), where they discovered another 0.53 million tablets of ATS at around 5 pm on the same day. Sai Zaw Min Oo (alias Ko Sai) has been identified as the owner of the seized drugs. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is 680 million MMK, and the offender has been charged with Narcotic drugs and Psychoactive Substances Law. The investigation is ongoing to apprehend any related offenders.
