The National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) had discussion with delegations of MNDAA, TNLA and AA at Oriental Hotel in Mongla, Shan State (East) on 1 and 2 June.
Present at the meeting were State Administration Council Member Union Minister at the Union Government Office NSPNC Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Committee Secretary Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein, Committee Member Lt-Gen Khin Zaw Oo (Retired), Deputy Commander of Triangle Region Command Brig-Gen Tun Myat Shwe , departmental officials and representatives from Myanmar National Truth and Justice Party (MNTJP/MNDAA), Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF/TNLA) and United League of Arakan (ULA/AA).
At the meeting, they friendly and cordially discussed matters in connexion with strengthening the multiparty democratic political system in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the relevant matter of building a union based on democracy and federalism, which is the desired goal of all ethnic people, working together for the peace and development of the Union, trust-building with ethnic armed organizations, the release of detainees, the cancellation of revocation of announcement on unlawful associations, and smooth and fast provision of humanitarian aid to people affected by Mocha. And then, the meeting was adjourned.
The meeting was adjourned and will continue its second day on 2 June.
The NSPNC and EAOs continued negotiation on unfinished measures on the first day on 2 June and they will meet again at an opportune time, it is reported.
