Regarding to the nuclear energy in Myanmar, there are fears and false news. The Ministry of Science and Technology will explain with accurate information and facts that the nuclear energy is safe and reliable through the media, said U Sai Kyaw Oo, permanent secretary of the ministry.
He made this comment at the educational talks on nuclear energy organized by MoST and Rosatom of Russia for Myanmar medias at Nuclear Technology Information Center in Yangon on 29 May.
At present, youths have interestingly observed on nuclear energy at the center, he said.
Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corportion of Russia and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Myanmar signed a Memorandum of Agreement on cooperation for the people to understand the use of nuclear technology in a peaceful purpose on 11 July, 2022 in Moscow.
Moreover, the agreement on cooperation between two governments in 14 nuclear applied fields was signed at the opening ceremony of the center, according to the permanent secretary of the ministry.
