About 120 booths from Myanmar and China are participated at the 4th Myanmar (Nay Pyi Taw)-China (Lancang) Trade Fair launched on 25 May in Nay Pyi Taw.
A total of 65 enterprises from Myanmar participated in the trade fair with 79 booths and 70 Chinese enterprises participated in the exhibition, using about 40 booths, exhibiting domestic foodstuffs, fish paste, dried fish, beans and pulses, dry tea leaf, tea, coffee, garments, cosmetics, rattan and bamboo products, wooden sculptures, furniture and other souvenirs and jewellery items. The booths were crowded with visitors. The trade fair continued till 28 May.
The opening ceremony of Trade Fair was held on 25 May and attended by Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo and union ministers, chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Union Minister for Economic Affairs of Shan State Government, chairman of Kokang Self-Administered Zone Administration Body, deputy ministers, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, officials and entrepreneurs of both countries.
Myanmar-China economic and trade cooperation discussion and signing ceremony will be held.
Myanmar (Nay Pyi Taw)-China (Lancang) Trade Fair aimed to increase trade and investments between traders from both sides, to strengthen friendship between businesspersons and to create job opportunities through cooperation of business and industry.
