Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by his entourage, and Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, the Yangon Command commander and officials, inspected functions of Wawawin farming company in Nyaungdon Township, Ayeyawady Region this afternoon.
First, the Senior General and party were welcomed by Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win, Chair of the company U Shwe Kyaing and members. At the briefing hall, U Shwe Kyaing reported on the establishment of the company in Maubin and Nyaungdon townships in 1999, reclamation of wetlands with heavy machinery for farming, rice cultivation, the extension of fish farming in 2002, annual repair of fish farms, clean water supply, systematic water inflow and outflow, start of fish hatching in 2005, production of about 10,000 quality fingerlings of ngamyitchin fish species, farming of 150 million fingerlings, commissioning of solid fish feed factory in 2007, availability of fish feed including bran, dried fish power, white and yellow rice bran, and fish oil mainly from local farmers, infrastructures such as cold storages, export of chilled fish, introduction of fish-based valued-added good distribution in 2022, launching of cattle farming in 2018 and diary products distribution, natural fertilizer distribution and generation of jobs for locals.
The Senior General asked for more information and gave advice. The Senior General and party looked around fish farms, cattle farms, dairy production, fish-based goods production, cold storages where valued-added fish was produced, algae and water moss cultivation, and attended to the needs. The Senior General signed the visitor’s book of the company and later, planted a commemorative tree. The SAC Joint Secretary, the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) and the Commander-in-Chief (Air) also planted commemorative trees. The Senior General and party cordially greeted the company chair and members.
On arrival at Authentic Production Co. Ltd in Mingaladon Township, Yangon Region, they were welcomed by its managing director U Aung Myo Hein and officials. At the meeting hall, U Aung Myo Hein reported on the company’s brief history, production of HDPE, DWC, PVC pipes of various sizes for local distribution, distribution of water tanks, septic tanks, road blocks, hotel-used impurity filters, and joints, projects that use pipelines manufactured by the company and future programs.
In response, the Senior General asked about market information. He spoke of the need to manufacture various kinds of pipes for nation-building tasks and agriculture. He said piping system will enable the effective use of valuable water resources and reduce waste. Use of pipes and pumps in agriculture will ensure effective water utilization. He then asked for more information. The Senior General and party viewed products of the company at the exhibition hall and looked into the requirements. They then inspected the functions of the company and attended to the needs.
