Youths are required to understand the history of Myanmar and the history of the Tatmadaw parallel and to study constantly to repel the pessimistic ideologies of domestic and foreign saboteurs who are against the interests of the country, Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hliang said.
The Senior General made this remarks at the meeting with the trainees and coaches of Basic and Advanced Maritime and Aviation Youth Training Courses in Nay Pyi Taw on 19 May.
Only then, will youths be able to respond to attacks from all sides including the media and become members of new generations who can be relied upon by the country, the Senior General said.
During the 4-week training period, the basic military training was also conducted in addition to knowledge on maritime and aviation subjects. He stressed that it is needed to build a union spirit through friendship and unity among the youths that have been achieved by attending the training courses. He urged all to be loyal to the country and to become a reliable generation in the future.
If a country is abundant in natural resources but it is not able to utilize them effectively, its development momentum will be slow. Our country boasts favourable conditions for agriculture and livestock breeding in accordance with its climatic conditions, geographical location and three seasons. Only when the country possesses human resources to utilize the favourable conditions effectively, will the economy of the country improve exponentially, he added.
Ahead of the meeting, the maritime and aviation youths viewed weapons manufactured by the Myanma Tatmadaw, various outfits being used in the Defence Services (Army, Navy and Air), communications equipment manufactured by the Myanma Tatmadaw, scale models of vessels manufactured by the Tatmadaw (Navy), naval equipment and accessories, scale models of aircraft and helicopters being used in Tatmadaw (Air), pilot suits and accessories, and demonstration of aircraft flight by simulator on display inside the Zeyar Thiri Beikman and officials replied to their questions on the items on display.
