Myanmar earned nearly US$-400 million from Myanmar-Thai border trade in April of 2023-2024 financial year, according to the data of the Ministry of Commerce.
Myawaddy border camp and Htikee border camp performed the majority of Myanmar-Thai border trade this month.
Moreover, Myanmar-Thai border trade is higher than Myanmar-China border trade this period, according to the data of MOC.
Myanmar mainly exports Myanmar agricultural products such as maize, rubber, chili, pulse, potato, onion and fishery products such as fish, prawn, crab to Thailand via Thai-Myanmar border trade.
The country mostly imports CMP garment, medicine and associated equipment, agricultural and industrial raw materials, construction goods, machine and spare parts, foodstuffs from Thailand.
Imported goods will be scrutinized and limited in current period, according to the traders.
