The Solar-powered and Gas Engine Hybrid plant project that can generate 120 MW near Magway is underway to complete in December.
Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han inspected the Solar-powered and Gas Engine Hybrid plant project that can generate 120 MW near Magway together with Magway Region ministers and departmental officials.
On arrival at the project site, officials of company reported to the Union Minister on project facts and tasks of the project.
After hearing the reports, the Union Minister said although electric power has to be produced at fixed dates, there are delays due to various reasons. So, it is needed to generate the electricity at designated dates as building tasks are launched.
The 120 MW- Solar-powered and Gas Engine Hybrid plant project is being established on 490 acres of land near Thapyaysan Village in Magway Township of Magway Region and its installed capacity is 120 MW.
If the whole project is finished, the plant will distribute electricity to State electric power system via 132 KV Magway main electric power station.
