111 university students of Naypyitaw State Academy were awarded the Paukpaw Scholarship worth Ks-500,000 each for the 2022-2023 Academic Year on 17 March, it is reported.
A total of 111 students from the Naypyitaw State Academy were presented one-year scholarship award by the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation Myanmar Office (CFPA Myanmar Office) with the fund of the Alibaba Philanthropy.
For the current 2022-2023 academic year, 800 students from East Yangon University, Yangon Education University, Yangon University of Foreign Languages, Dagon University and Naypyitaw State Academy will receive Ks-500,000 each for one academic year.
CFPA Myanmar Office launched the PaukPhaw Scholarship Project by cooperating with the affiliated departments of the Ministry of Education in Myanmar since July, 2015. Scholarship awards were presented to a total of 1,348 students from 14 universities to date.
Moreover, it implements 14 projects such as the Bank of China (BOC) Scholarship Programme, Paukphaw Scholarship Project, China-Myanmar Friendship Scholarship Project, Panda Pack Project, Smiling Children Project, WASH Programme, COVID-19 protective gears donation project, International Bicycle Project and Solar Lantern Project. During seven years of its establishment, it provided US$-11.82 million benefiting 497,608 people from 144 townships in 13 states and regions.
