Myanmar carried out exports with 1,611 trucks and imports with 273 trucks from 1 to 7 March, 2023 through Muse border, according to the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization.
Export/import online licensing can be made through Myanmar Tradenet 2.0 system as well as importers can seek licences in person at the border posts.
On these days, Peyin bean, Kidney bean, Mung bean, onion, muskmelon, eel, watermelon, cotton and Black Eye bean are being exported.
Transactions for Myanmar-China border trade are done in Yuan and US dollar. Bean, corn, sesame and peanuts are allowed to make payment in Yuan as well as dollars. For transactions of rice, broken rice, agricultural products and fisheries product such as eel and crab are available in Yuan payment.
The prices stood at 5,000-5,700 Yuan per tonne of Mung bean in Muse border trade zone, 2380-2480 Yuan per tonne of corn, 11500-12000 Yuan per tonne of black sesame, 8000-8500 Yuan per tonne of brown sesame, 9,500-9,700 Yuan per tonne of peanut, 2,280 Yuan per tonne of Aemahta rice (25 percent broken), 2,520 Yuan per tonne of broken rice (A 1-2) and 7000-7500 Yuan per tonne of rubber (RSS-3).
Moreover, exporters need to add export income via banking system under the directive of the Central Bank of Myanmar.
