Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win, who is currently in India and Indian Minister of Ayush and Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways H.E.Shri Sarbanada Sonowal discussed teaching from India traditional medicine practitioners at the University of Traditional Medicine (Mandalay).
At the meeting, they exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries in the development of the traditional medicine sector, exchange knowledge of scholars from India in annual conferences of Traditional Medicine Practitioners in Myanmar, traditional medicine research paper reading sessions.
Moreover, they discussed mutual study tours of traditional medicine experts from both countries, scientific research on traditional medicines, and exportation of high-quality traditional medicinal raw materials.
Present at the meeting were the director-general of Traditional Medicine Department from Myanmar delegation, rector of University of Traditional Medicine (Mandalay), secretary of Ayush Ministry of India, Indian district minister of Ayush women’s and child development and officials.
Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win is currently in India to attend the Traditional Medicine Conference and Expo of Shanghai Cooperation Organization held in Guwahati, India.
