Public information was released not to commit online gambling, lucky draw and money fraud using illegal loans.
In accord with development of technologies, people are suffering financial losses due to committing fraud online and financial fraud committed by gambling.
The Myanmar Police Force investigated and identified those operating illegal loans, gambling and lottery business by using online and 71 culprits who are operating illegal loan business by using TTbet Online Game, Golden Gift Online luck draw, Money Bag Application, Cash Now Application, Cola Kyat Application and U Loan Application were arrested.
It is found that offenders rent ID cards for 10,000 kyats per card for opening bank accounts to operate online gambling activities, online frauds and to use in illegal loans. That’s why, those who rent ID cards may also be taken actions in accord with the law. Those who engage in gambling, lucky draw and loan activities by using online may be taken actions in accord with the existing laws.
In addition, the money and profits obtained from committing the crime will be scrutinized according to the Anti-Money Laundering Law and people are requested not to engage in such activities.
