The pagodas and stupas in Mandalay were teeming with pilgrims while the public recreation places were crowed with visitors on 4 February, which is the full moon day of Tabodwe.
A pilgrim said: “Full moon day of Thabodwe is sacred month for Buddhists. I want to join the seasonal festivals happily without terrorism.”
Furthermore, pilgrims visited Maha Myat Muni Pagoda, Mandalay Hill, Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, Kuthodaw Pagoda, Sandamuni Pagado, Yankin Hill Pagoda, Jade Pagoda, Swetawmyat Pagoda and Aungtawmu Pagoda, made merits and released fingerlings.
Moreover, Yadanabon Zoological Garden, historic U Pain Bridge, City Garden, Manaw Yan Man playground are packed with people today.
